Continuing Education Classes

The following classes are New York State approved Continuing Education Courses. Admission to the programs is limited to NYS Licensed Estheticians, Cosmetologists, and Nurses. Class participants are required to provide a copy of their NYS license.

Facial Treatments
In this course, the student will begin with an introduction to facial procedures. The student will learn how to analyze the skin to determine what procedure to perform and how to collectively assess client intake forms with a skin analysis and client consultation to complete SOAP notes for documentation. The pH scale will be a factor in the analysis of the condition and the use of specific product application to the skin.
50 Clock Hours – Total Cost $840.50

Skin, Condition and Treatment
Learn how the skin functions during the aging process, pH of the skin, and identification of Fitzpatrick Types. Identify conditions of the skin, the environmental elements and considerations taken from the consumer’s health history profile. Select treatments for restoration and improvement. Highly recommended for all hands on classes. Lecture only.
20 Clock Hours – Total Cost $326.60

Chemical Peels
Must have knowledge of Skin, Conditions and Treatment Theory and hands on practice. With the aid of a manual application of a solvent exfoliant a thorough understanding of different modalities and techniques are taught using three different acids to treat the skin Theory and hands on practice.
20 Clock Hours – Total Cost $569.

Microdermabrasion
Must have knowledge of Skin, Conditions and Treatment. With the aid of mechanical application of exfoliation a thorough understanding of different modalities and techniques are taught using three different microdermabrasion devices to treat the skin Theory and hands on practice.
20 Clock Hours – Total Cost $ 592.80

Cosmetic Laser Hair Removal
Must have knowledge of Skin, Conditions and Treatment. In this course, students will receive theory and hands on practice with the Palomar Pulsed Light System, for a lasting solution to unwanted hair.
50 Clock Hours – Total Cost $ 2,520.

Waxing
The waxing licensure program consists of 110 clock hours. Students will learn hot and cold wax method of application for temporary hair removal. The student will practice waxing the face on areas such as the eyebrow, chin, lip, sideburns, etc., body waxing such as the underarm, full arms,  full legs, bikini and Brazilian waxing as well as Speed Waxing! Upon completion of the course the graduate will sit for a New York State Written Examination. Passing the exam provides the graduate with their New York State Waxing License.110 Clock Hours Total cost $2,034.90

Cosmetic Micropigmentation  
Permanent cosmetic tattooing of the face; eyeliner, eyebrow, lip liner and areola for post-operative cancer procedures.
